Retreat FAQ – Questions & Answers
Athens is a city of contrasts: ancient wisdom meets vibrant life. We utilize exactly this energy in our exclusive coaching retreat for women. While the world outside rotates at its usual pace, you will find the necessary distance in Athena’s Journey to explore your inner archetypes. Inspired by Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey and specifically adapted to the female biography, we accompany you through the phases of your departure.
Athena’s Journey is limited to a maximum of 8 participants. This ensures the setting remains personal, manageable, and committed – every woman receives space for her topics and individual guidance.
In an exclusive small group, we combine depth-psychological approaches with the power of mythological symbols. We leave the chaos of the city behind to find your very own clarity in the heart of the Agora.
Athena’s Journey is conducted in German. Upon request, an English-language version or professional interpretation (German–English/Greek) is possible.

Yes – you book your flight individually. We recommend a low-cost flight to Athens with the Greek airlines Sky Express or Aegean Airlines, see
Yes – you organize your own travel and accommodation. After registration, you will receive support with transfers or joint arrivals, as well as a curated recommendation list of hotels and apartments within walking distance of the seminar location.
All participants are free to book their own accommodation individually. At the same time, there is the option to use one of the pre-reserved apartments provided by me. I have intentionally made these reservations to ensure quality, location, and fair conditions in a high-priced city like Athens. Early planning makes a significant difference here. I know the owner personally and have personally inspected most of the apartments. This allows me to ensure that the equipment, atmosphere, and location meet the standards of Athena’s Journey. The apartments offer:
- at least two separate bedrooms for single use
- living area and cooking facilities
- usually two bathrooms
- a location within a 5–10 minute walk to the penthouse studio
Many women also appreciate the special charm of sharing an apartment with another heroine. In my experience from numerous trips, this often results in a harmonious, enriching addition – without obligation, but as an opportunity for connection in everyday life.
We are located in the north of Athens, in the well-to-do districts of Neo Iraklio / Neo Ionia, not far from the Athens Olympic Stadium. The location is quiet, urban, and very well connected. All recommended accommodations are a 5–10 minute walk from the penthouse studio. After your registration, you will receive an overview of the available, reserved apartments as well as all relevant information to decide in peace which type of accommodation is right for you.
Yes. Many women arrive alone. The Athena’s Journey heroine`s journey is a protected space where openness, trust, and mutual support can emerge – entirely without expectations or pressure.
Athena’s Journey is not a fitness retreat. You should be able to walk well, as walks, city routes, and a visit to the Acropolis are part of the program. Everything takes place at a mindful pace and with consideration for every participant.
Athena’s Journey can be understood as a retreat in the broader sense. It combines a conscious break, reflection, and personal development in a special setting. At the same time, it goes beyond classic retreat formats: the heroine`s journey is clearly structured, professionally guided, and methodically sound. It is aimed at women who are not only looking for a break from everyday life but also want to take home orientation, clarity, and sustainable impulses for their lives.
Athena’s Journey is not a wellness vacation, but a professionally guided seminar and retreat program with a clear structure. It combines systemic coaching approaches, the KKM® system (Core-Power-Human), reflection, and intentional downtime with curated experiences in Athens.
Athena’s Journey – intentionally personal.
Maximum 8 women. Your topic at the center, not lost in the crowd. Grounded, powerful, and in a healthy measure – spirituality that feels like you. Our motto: Nothing is mandatory. Everything is possible.
The topics from your everyday life are allowed to surface, find clarity, and resolve. You return as someone who understands herself better – courageous, clear, and ready for action. And we accompany you afterward as well, so that what has begun truly continues to grow.
Your registration following your non-binding reservation request is binding. Should something unforeseen occur, we will work together to find a replacement participant. All details regarding cancellation and withdrawal conditions will be provided with the travel documents.
Yes. After the trip, there are opportunities for 1:1 online coaching as well as for further KKM® seminars and workshops. This allows insights to be sustainably integrated into everyday life.
No. Everything is possible – nothing is mandatory. All program points are voluntary. The photo shoot is not a modeling competition, but an appreciative moment to make your development visible. The photos can later be used, for example, for applications, portraits, or private purposes. We work exclusively with professional photographers, so every participant so far has felt safe and comfortable.
Yes. The program is intentionally designed to allow time for retreat and personal exploration. Friday afternoon and Saturday are well-suited for walks, shopping, or individual discovery of Athens.
Yes. Athens is considered an open and safe major city. Our seminar locations and recommended accommodations are in quiet, well-connected neighborhoods. We move exclusively in familiar areas and with reliable local partners. Nevertheless, we wish to warn against potential street crime and fraud.
For travel abroad, it is strongly recommended to take out international health insurance including repatriation. These services are generally not included, or only partially included, in statutory health insurance. Appropriate coverage ensures quick help in an emergency and provides additional security – even in the event of unexpected medical occurrences.
Recommendation: Many participants opt for private international health insurance or an ADAC Plus membership, as these reliably cover medical care and repatriation.
Note: Participation in Athena´s Journey is at your own risk; please see the Terms and Conditions. Please check your personal insurance coverage carefully before starting your journey.
Between ancient splendor and modern chaos, Athens requires the right perspective. Here is your quick guide to the city’s most important rules of thumb:
- Do not throw toilet paper into the toilet.
- Wear non-slip shoes for the Acropolis cobblestones.
- Drink plenty of water (especially in summer).
- Watch out for pickpockets in the Metro and Monastiraki.
- Many museums are closed on Mondays.
- Use sun protection even in the spring.
- Enter churches only with covered shoulders.
- Check prices in tourist traps (Plaka).
- Check for short-term strikes in public transport.
- Dinner starts from 9:00 PM.
- Tips are usually rounded up.
- Book tickets in advance online for the Acropolis.
- Book taxis via app (FreeNow).
- Order coffee as a “Freddo Espresso.”
- Do not forget to validate your Metro tickets.
